Sean, AKA @Finnerz.Home is one of our longstanding, creative Moda ambassadors who has taken us & his following along for the journey of his first-time home renovation. Located in Surrey, Sean’s charming Victorian cottage has been given a respectful-refurb. His transformation maintains the building’s traditional warmth & homeyness with the use of natural, woody-tones & classic furniture, in a space that has been updated with clean whites, greys & modern accessories. When it comes to Sean’s beautiful garden space, rural-charm is maintained with a charcoal firepit & hand woven rattan, with sofa-seating helping to enhance that cosy-cottage feel.
A Word From Sean…
"We knew we wanted a corner sofa to go with our decking area and loved the fact you can change the configuration of the Halo 1F. It’s also great that the ends transform into two sun loungers which is perfect for the summer and really helps us get the most out of our garden space".
Q&A
What Inspires your outdoor & home styling?
We love using Pinterest and Instagram to look for inspiration and trends. We love the ‘modern country living’ vibe that’s cosy and lived in.
What is your favourite thing to do in your Moda space?
We love hosting bbqs for family and friends! The Halo 1F is great as the coffee table can be used as an ice bucket in the day and a fire pit in the evening.
What has been the most satisfying aspect of your home renovation journey?
We’ve learnt a lot of things along the way as this is our first home and it’s an older property. It’s so rewarding looking back and seeing how far we have come with the house, we’ve really made it our own.
Do you have any tips on how someone can create a garden space like yours?
Think about the time you are going to spend in the garden and what you need from your outdoor space. We love the sun so wanted to create an area that we can use ourselves as well as for when we are hosting for friends and family. We also wanted something quite low maintenance as we don’t always have the time to do gardening.
With the use of snug accessories, a fire pit-turned-barbeque table feature and a variety of twinkling outdoor lights, Sean is able to take his space from summer’s day soirees to cosy evening entertaining. Lights are a key feature to his garden styling, helping not only to illuminate his space after dark, but create a warm & inviting ambience for friends & family
