A lover of clean & crisp styling and fusing modern furniture pieces with soft, pastel accessories, Moda ambassador Cheryl (AKA @cb_loves_interiors_20) gives us endless inspiration for outdoor living done right. In the process of her ‘garden glow-up’, Cheryl has chosen to match the chunky black frames of her patio doors with the statement frames of our Talia 1A Corner Sofa, which creates a perfectly seamless living-room-to-outdoor-lounging look.
A Word From Cheryl…
"Interior design has always been a passion of mine and I love my home to have a light and modern feel to it. After we had our extension built with bifold doors across the back of our home, I really wanted to continue the flow and style from inside through to the patio and garden".
Cheryl’s beautifully styled space switches flawlessly to the evenings, with some subtle string lights and the soft glow of floor-placed candles and our cage-style Ray Boheme Light. Snug homey touches such as outdoor scatter cushions, cosy blankets & mini plant plots take her patio area from being ‘just a garden’, to a true extension of her home that’s there to be lived in.
Q&A
Why did you choose the Talia 1A set?
This set not only looked stylish but was perfect in size for my patio space. I wanted to create a relaxed space to enjoy drinks and food with my family and friends. A corner sofa creates a lot of seating whilst also saving space.
What is your favourite thing to do in your Moda space?
My favourite thing is enjoying a relaxing drink on a warm summer's day. Whether it's with my family or friends. It's the most perfect setup.
What has been the most satisfying aspect of your garden glow-up?
I love looking through the bifold doors and seeing an inviting and relaxing outdoor space that the whole family can enjoy. We had a few parties last year and we really have created a great space for socialising.
Do you have any tips on how someone can create a garden space like yours?
My tips are to make the space work for you. Think about how you would use the space and what you would like to achieve. It’s nice to do it in stages to get a feel for how the space looks and feels along the way. I did a lot of research on Pinterest and Instagram for look and style. Accessorising your space is important too. Think about adding pots, plants, lighting etc to create the look that you want. Just changing the colour of your fence and up cycling plant pots can really have an impact while also saving money.
